Purpose of the masterclass

The masterclass offered by the “Renaissance Brass Ensemble” aims to connect internationally renowned teachers with students who wish to receive guidance from those with top-level musical experience. The main topics covered by our teachers will include orchestral excerpts, concert repertoire, performance emotion management, and daily routines.

Attention will also be given to amateur musicians; many excellent musicians are found in wind bands. Therefore, particular attention is given to those who wish to deepen their ensemble playing techniques to apply them in their usual musical environments.

The synergy among all students will be emphasized. The final concert, to be held on August 30, 2025, will feature various ensembles created for the occasion and some pieces performed by the entire group with arrangements specifically created for the event.

Marc Geujon – Trumpet – Principal Trumpet of the Opéra National de Paris and professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris

Fabiano Maniero – Trumpet- Professor at the “Agostino Steffani” Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto and Principal Trumpet of the Gran Teatro “La Fenice” in Venice from 1998 to 2018.

Dariusz Mikulski – French Horn and Ensemble – Professor at the “Academy of Music in Łódź” and currently the artistic and musical director of the “Sinfonia Masovia,” guest conductor of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.

Athos Castellan – Trombone – Professor at the “Benedetto Marcello” Conservatory of Venice and Bass Trombone of the Gran Teatro “La Fenice” in Venice from 2003 to 2022.
