Renaissance Festival 2024

• PURPOSE OF THE MASTERCLASS 

The masterclass offered by the “Renaissance Brass Ensemble” aims to connect internationally renowned teachers with students who wish to receive guidance from those with top-level musical experience. The main topics covered by our teachers will include orchestral excerpts, concert repertoire, performance emotion management, and daily routines. 

Attention will also be given to amateur musicians; many excellent musicians are found in wind bands. Therefore, particular attention is given to those who wish to deepen their ensemble playing techniques to apply them in their usual musical environments. 

The synergy among all students will be emphasized. The final concert, to be held on August 3, 2024, will feature various ensembles created for the occasion and some pieces performed by the entire group with arrangements specifically created for the event. 

• LOCATION OF THE MASTERCLASS 

The entire masterclass will be held at the “don Luigi Panarotto” building in Nove (VI), located at Piazza De Fabris no. 2. There will be 5 rooms available for individual lessons and a multipurpose room for ensemble lessons. The materials used will be kindly provided by the “Corpo Bandistico Novese,” which will also handle the logistics for the entire period. 

The concert will be held in the churchyard of the Arcipretale church in Nove. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place inside the church.

◦ AthosCastellan-TromboneTeacheratthe“BenedettoMarcello”ConservatoryinVeniceand section trombonist of the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice from 2003 to 2022.

• DAILY SCHEDULE 

The daily schedule offers different activities based on the type of course the participant chooses. There are courses for STUDENTS and AMATEURS.

Morning: Registration and warm-up for students 9:00 – 10:30 Student ensemble 11:00 – 13:00 

Afternoon: Individual lessons for students 16:00 – 19:00 Evening: Ensemble lesson for amateurs 20:00 – 22:30 

Wednesday, July 31 

Morning: Student warm-up 9:30 – 10:30 Student ensemble 11:00 – 13:00

• MASTERCLASS COSTS
  Students (4 lessons of 45 minutes, 7 hours of ensemble, concert): 275,00 € 

Maximum 4 registrations per instrument 

Option to have a piano accompanist for one individual lesson Amateurs (8 hours of ensemble, concert): 80,00 € 

Maximum 5 registrations per instrument 

Amateurs are always allowed to participate as auditors during student lessons 

The costs do not include meals and transport. Once the number of participants is confirmed, it will be possible to organize meals at discounted prices nearby. 

• ACCOMMODATION 

For students coming from afar, a discounted rate is available at the “Le Nove” hotel, located 500 meters from the masterclass venue. The hotel “Le Nove” is a 4-star hotel at Via Rizzi no. 51, in Nove. 

Prices vary depending on the choice of room and include breakfast: 

• Single room: 68€/night 
• Double room: 90€/night 
• Triple room: 120€/night 

Please indicate the need for hotel accommodation in the registration form so that organizers can handle the booking arrangements. 

• REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT METHODS
  Registrations are open until Sunday, July 21, at 12:00 by completing the registration form. A deposit of 

50,00€ is required at the time of registration, to be paid by bank transfer to the following account details:
