The picturesque Piazza de Fabris in Nove will transform into a grand open-air concert hall for a truly unforgettable evening of classical music on 19 July 2025, as the acclaimed Orchestra Sinfonia Masovia takes the stage under the masterful direction of Prof. Dariusz Mikulski – one of Europe’s most distinguished conductors and artistic visionaries. Known for his passionate interpretations and refined musical leadership, Prof. Mikulski brings together a program that bridges the elegance of the Classical era with the emotional power of the Romantic and early modern repertoire.
At the heart of the evening is Sinfonia Masovia, a brilliant symphonic ensemble renowned for its versatility, sonic beauty, and stylistic precision. Their international reputation as one of the most dynamic and artistically ambitious orchestras makes every performance an event to behold.
The program opens with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s majestic Overture to La clemenza di Tito, a regal and stirring piece that sets the tone for the evening. Mozart’s genius is further explored through some of his most exquisite vocal compositions, including the deeply emotional “Parto, ma tu ben mio”, the tender duet “Ah, perdona il primo affetto”, and the beloved soprano arias “Ah, ich fühl’s” from The Magic Flute, “Vado, ma dove?”, and “Porgi amor” from Le nozze di Figaro.
These pieces will be brought to life by two extraordinary vocalists: Sara Volpato, an emerging star on the Italian operatic scene, possesses a radiant, silvery soprano that combines lyrical warmth with dramatic intensity. Her interpretations captivate with both emotional depth and vocal finesse, making her an ideal interpreter of Mozart and Puccini. Aleksandra Gudzio, a distinguished mezzo-soprano with an international career spanning leading opera houses and festivals, is praised for her rich timbre, magnetic stage presence, and expressive musicality. Her performance of Bizet’s “Habanera” from Carmen will be one of the evening’s fiery highlights, while her rendition of “Parto, ma tu ben mio” will showcase her vocal mastery and dramatic elegance.
The instrumental interludes are no less impressive. The charismatic Italian clarinetist Jacopo Bertoncello, celebrated for his sensitivity and tonal beauty, will perform the poetic second movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major – a work considered one of the most sublime in the clarinet repertoire.
A brilliant Baroque gem follows with Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets, interpreted by two trumpet virtuosos: Cristiano de Agnoi, a dazzling artist with a luminous tone and impeccable technique, who has built a reputation not only as a soloist but also as a conductor and chamber musician of great finesse. Kajetan Puczko, one of the most exciting young talents on the European brass scene, whose musical maturity and technical agility have earned him accolades far beyond his years. Their performance promises an electrifying blend of precision, power, and stylistic flair.
The second half of the evening moves into the Romantic and verismo realms, with soaring arias that have captured the hearts of generations: “O mio babbino caro” by Giacomo Puccini, a touching expression of youthful love and vulnerability, interpreted by Sara Volpato; and the world-famous “Flower Duet” from Léo Delibes’ Lakmé, a sublime moment of vocal harmony shared between Volpato and Gudzio, closing the evening on a note of serenity and beauty.
This concert is more than a musical performance – it is a celebration of artistry, expression, and the timeless magic of the great composers. With world-class musicians, a world-renowned conductor, and a repertoire that spans centuries of genius, this evening in Nove promises to be a highlight of the cultural season and a memory to cherish.
